Why a three-month pack?
Minoxidil is not a quick fix and it is not a course you finish. The first visible change usually takes around eight weeks, and four months of consistent twice-daily use before you can judge it fairly. In the first few weeks many men see a temporary increase in shedding as resting follicles are pushed into a new growth phase — the point at which people most often give up.

Who it is for
Men aged 18 to 49 with male pattern baldness — thinning at the crown and vertex. It is contraindicated in women, in anyone with treated or untreated high blood pressure, and in anyone with psoriasis, sunburn or broken or shaved skin on the scalp. If you are over 49, the extra strength scalp solution is licensed up to age 65 and is the appropriate product.
What to expect
Early shedding in the first few weeks is normal. Look for change at eight weeks and judge properly at four months. Regrowth is maintained only while you keep using it — if you stop, the new hair is usually lost within three to four months. Stop and seek medical advice if you get chest pain, palpitations, dizziness, sudden weight gain or swelling of the hands or feet.
